M80 Junction 9 off-slip | Investigation Works

M80 Northbound at Junction 9 off-slip
7th of July 2025, 8:30pm to 8th of July 2025, 6:00am

BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is set to carry out investigation works in advance of future resurfacing on the M80 Junction 9 northbound off-slip. To allow the works to be carried out safely, the slip road will be closed between the hours of 20:30 and 06:00 on the night of Monday 7 July.

During this period, a signed diversion route will be in place for northbound traffic via the M80 and M9 to turn at M9 Junction 11 Keir Roundabout, before returning southbound to exit at M9 Junction 9. This diversion will add approximately 15 minutes and 14.7 miles onto affected journeys.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and all traffic management will be removed outwith working hours. Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These investigation works are essential to help us plan future resurfacing works at this location.
“If you need to use this route on the night of 7 July, our advice is to plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.

“We thank motorists in advance for their patience.”

All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
