M80 Junction 9 Northbound Off-slip | Survey

Pirnhall
6th of October 2025, 10:30pm to 7th of October 2025, 2:00am

The slip road exiting the northbound M80 at Junction 9, Pirnhall, will be closed between 22:30 and 02:00 on the night of Monday 6 October, to allow a detailed survey of the road surface to be carried out.

A diversion route will be signposted via the M9 northbound to turn at Junction 10 Craigforth, before returning southbound to exit via the Junction 9 southbound off-slip.

Emergency vehicles will be given access through the works at all times.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “In June 2024 this slip road was closed as a result of significant subsidence. Repair works involved excavating an area of approximately 1,000m2 and then reconstructing it.

“We’ve been monitoring the slip road closely since it reopened to traffic in December to confirm there are no ongoing issues. This overnight closure will allow us to carry out a final survey.

“The work will be carried out overnight to minimise any disruption. We’re grateful to motorists for their understanding.”
