M8 Woodside | Signage Installation

5th of May 2025, 12:00am to 10th of May 2025, 11:59pm

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential sign installation on the A81 Garscube Road and A804 Dobbie’s Loan.

Works will take place from Monday 5th May until Saturday 10th May 2025, with a continuous lane closure on Garscube Road northbound between Cowcaddens Road and Garscube Roundabout, from Monday to Wednesday, and overnight closures on Dobbie’s Loan, from 8pm until 6am, Thursday and Friday.

This scheme is to enable the next phase of works of the M8 Woodside Viaducts Junctions 16-17. Work will be carried out using a single lane closure on northbound Garscube Road between Cowcaddens Road and Garscube Roundabout, and overnight closures on Dobbie’s Loan with signed diversion routes in operation.

Local Dobbie’s Loan Diversions

A81 Garscube Road southbound traffic will continue to Cowcaddens Road for Port Dundas Road. Westbound A804 traffic will be diverted via Port Dundas Road and onto Cowcaddens Road.

Access for emergency service vehicles will not be maintained throughout these works.

Please Note: Closure timings have been co-ordinated with bus services using the route, to maintain the regular service.

Please plan your journey and allow extra time for travel through the signed diversion.

PLEASE NOTE: Vehicles entering the LEZ as part of the diversion must follow the diversion signage at all times. Any vehicles which deviate from the published diversion route may be issued with penalty charge notice(s) from Glasgow City Council should they be captured out with the agreed diversion route.
