26th of May 2025, 8:00pm to 30th of May 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the M8 eastbound between Junctions 11 and 10 from Monday 26th May until Friday 30th May 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.

This work will require overnight road closures in this location and traffic will be diverted via the Junction 11 eastbound off-slip, the B765 Stepps Road, Edinburgh Road, Wellhouse Road, Westerhouse Road and re-join the M8 eastbound via the Junction 10 eastbound on-slip.

The Junction 11 eastbound on-slip will also be closed during this work and traffic will also be diverted as follows:

  • Southbound traffic will be diverted via Stepps Road, Edinburgh Road, Wellhouse Road, Westerhouse Road and re-join the M8 eastbound via the Junction 10 eastbound on-slip.
  • Northbound traffic will be diverted via Stepps Road, Gartloch Road, Auchinlee Road Westerhouse Road and re-join the M8 eastbound via the Junction 10 eastbound on-slip.
  • Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
