Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential drainage on the A82, 1km east of Dunglass Roundabout to the Abbotsford Hotel from Monday 21st November until Saturday 17th December 2022, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each weeknight.

This scheme, with a value of £70,000, will benefit around 12,500 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and providing solutions to recurring incidents of flooding.

The work will be carried out using alternating overnight single lane closures on both the northbound and southbound carriageways, with no need for a signed diversion. We thank road users for their patience and cooperation while these essential drainage works take place.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
