A96 Between Inverurie and Huntly

Amey is set to undertake a programme of overnight woodland management at several locations along the A96 between Inverurie and Huntly from Monday 14th September until Friday 30th October.

The work, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will involve the removal and management of roadside vegetation to help maintain visibility, improve the road environment and support the safe operation of the trunk road network.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under temporary traffic lights between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.

The programme of works includes:

Monday 14th September to Friday 25th September

A96 between north of Inverurie and Garioch Junction.
Approximately 0.9 km of woodland management works.

Wednesday 23rd September to Tuesday 6th October

A96 between Pitcaple and Inveramsay Bridge West.
Approximately 1.1 km of woodland management works across two locations.

Monday 5th October to Friday 16th October

A96 between Burn of Lipsden and Huntly.
Approximately 0.2 km of woodland management works.
A crawler lane closure will also be required.

Monday 19th October to Friday 30th October

A96 at Huntly Rail Bridge.
Approximately 0.7 km of woodland management works across two locations near the rail bridge.

Please note that all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.
