A92 at Glenrothes | Overnight Surfacing Improvements

Glenrothes
6th of May 2025, 7:30pm to 20th of May 2025, 6:30am

Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A92 in Glenrothes from Tuesday 6th May to Tuesday 20th May.

The £360,000 scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will resurface the A92 between Preston Roundabout and Tullis Russell Roundabout.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night.

There will be no overnight working on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th May, and Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May.

The following diversion will be in place during the overnight road closures.

A92 northbound traffic can leave the A92 at Bankhead Roundabout, taking the first exit onto the B921 Kinglassie Road and continue across Stenton Roundabout. They can then take the third exit at Southfield Roundabout onto the B969 and follow the route north to rejoin the A92 at Balfarg. Southbound traffic can take the route in reverse.

All work is scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Tuesday 20th May.

The improvements will benefit more than 18,700 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
