A90 at Peterhead | Resurfacing

29th of June 2025, 7:30pm to 4th of July 2025, 6:30am

Amey is undertaking resurfacing works on the A90 carriageway at Peterhead between Upperton Industrial Estate and Blackhills Road, from Sunday 29th June until Friday 4th July.

The £245,990 worth of works on behalf of Transport Scotland will improve the road surface for a smoother ride and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance, benefitting over 7,400 daily road users.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, work will take place under overnight road closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night.

For diversions, southbound traffic will leave the A90 at Howe o’Buchan Roundabout following the A950 and the A982 to rejoin the A90 at Invernettie Roundabout. Northbound traffic will take the route in reverse.

There will be local access to Upperton Industrial Estate from Invernettie Roundabout. Blackhills Road traffic should use local routes to the north or south of Peterhead as required.

Traffic management will be removed by 6.30am on Friday 4th July.
