A9 South of Birnam | Signing Improvements
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland are set to carry out essential signing improvements on the A9 south of Birnam from Monday 30 June.
The signing improvement works involve improved signage for layby number 15 which is one mile south of Birnam, off the northbound A9. The works will be carried out over three nights between the hours of 7pm and 6am with all works expected to be completed by the morning of Thursday 3 July.
To protect motorists and roadworkers, two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place. These will be removed outwith working hours.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These signing improvements on the A9 South of Birnam will make the location of Layby 15 more apparent, and improve safety for motorists.”
