Works to upgrade the Marine Navigation Lights on Dornoch Bridge are set to get underway on 27 March 2023. BEAR Scotland will be carrying out this essential project on behalf of Transport Scotland.

The works will take place over five days, between 9am and 4.30pm from Monday 27 March to Thursday 30 March, and 9am to midday on Friday 31 March. The works are weather dependant.

For safety, there will be a lane closure with a 30mph speed restriction using two-way temporary traffic lights.

Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s NW Representative, said: “This upgrade to the Marine Navigation Lights on Dornoch Bridge is necessary to ensure the safety of vessels on the Dornoch Firth.

“It is essential for the safety of drivers and workers that we put a lane closure in place while we carry out the works, however we will do our best to minimise any disruption.

“We thank motorists in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”
