A9 Dalmagarry | Temporary Traffic Lights

Dalmagarry Farm
6th of May 2025, 12:00am to 6th of May 2025, 11:59pm

Road users are advised that from 6 May 2025 for approximately three weeks, temporary traffic signals will be in place on the A9 opposite Dalmagarry Farm, approximately 2.5km north of the Tomatin Junction to safely manage traffic entering the temporary realignment. The traffic signals will be in place 24 hours a day and will be manually controlled to manage queues, as required. Road users in both directions will be directed on to a short length of temporary single lane carriageway around the works area before rejoining the A9.

These works are required to safely allow for the installation of large pipes which are necessary to carry out a future diversion of the Dalmagarry Burn below the A9.

Works will be taking place 24 hours a day to minimise the duration required for the traffic management and to allow for the removal of the traffic signals as soon as possible. At peak times, there are likely to be delays and road users are asked to plan their journeys accordingly.

Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained at all times. A small diversion of the existing NCN7 non-motorised user route will safely guide users around the work area.

Short delays are anticipated at peak times and road users are advised to approach the area with care and allow extra time for their journeys whilst these works are undertaken.

Please note, all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
