A9 Aberuthven | Surfacing Improvements
Amey is undertaking surfacing improvements on the A9 at Aberuthven between Sunday 29th June and Wednesday 9th July.
The £242,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver improvements on more than 830 metres of the A9 southbound carriageway.
Work will take place between the A824 and 350 metres south of Whitemoss Junction.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out using overnight convoy working between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night between Sunday 29th June and Tuesday 8th July.
There will also be a daytime lane closure on Tuesday 1st July to allow for the cooling of deeper sections of treatment.
There will be no overnight works on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th July, with traffic management removed by 6.30am on Wednesday 9th July.
Southbound traffic will not be able to turn right onto the A824 and should continue to Gleneagles to return north and exit from the northbound carriageway.
The Whitemoss Junction will be closed during these works. Traffic will be diverted via the B934 Forteviot Junction and the B8062 at Dunning.
The resurfacing will benefit more than 11,900 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
