Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A9 northbound at Aberuthven from Sunday 13th April to Thursday 24th April.
The £276,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on more than 2200 metres of the A9 northbound carriageway.
Work will take place between 155 metres north of the B8062 flyover and 145 metres south of Dunning Road at Aberuthven.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight convoy between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night.
There will also be daytime lane closures in place between 6.30am and 7.30pm from Monday 14th April to Thursday 17th April.
There will be no works on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th April.
The Whitemoss junction will be closed between 7.30pm on Sunday 13th April and 6.30am on Friday 18th April, and again between 7.30pm on Sunday 20th April and 6.30am on Thursday 24th April.
Local traffic wishing to turn right onto the A9 northbound will follow the A9 south to Gleneagles and return north. A9 northbound traffic wishing to turn right at Whitemoss Junction will continue to Broxden Roundabout and return south.
All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Thursday 24th April.
The resurfacing will benefit more than 12,200 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
