A87 Between Invergarry and Bun Loyne | Overnight Resurfacing
Motorists using the A87 between Invergarry and Bun Loyne, will benefit from an improved road surface, with overnight works taking place in between 13 - 22 May 2025.
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out resurfacing improvements at three locations addressing defects in the road surface:

Road closures will be in place from Tuesday 13 to Thursday 22 May between the hours of 7pm and 6am, with no works taking place on Friday or Saturday. Out with these hours traffic management will be removed, however a reduced speed limit may remain in place, as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
During periods of closure, traffic will be diverted via the A82 and A887. Signage will be placed at Bun Loyne and Invergarry notifying of the closure, allowing traffic to use the diversion. Public buses & emergency services will be allowed through closures and should proceed to the manned closure points.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users as well as upgrading road markings to enhance road safety. We thank motorists for their patience ahead of these road improvements.”
The improvements will make the route more resilient to inclement weather and refresh the road markings.
