A85 Loch Awe | Drainage Investigation
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage investigation works on the A85, west of the junction with St Conan’s Road in Loch Awe Village from Monday 7 July.
These drainage works will last for three days, between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm.
To protect both motorists and roadworkers, two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place. Access to residents’ properties will be maintained, however, there may be times where access is temporarily restricted due to the nature of the works.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Unit Representative said; “This investigation will involve cleaning the drainage system and should alleviate current levels of flooding for local residents and users of the carriageway and help identify the need for further works.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance.”
“We encourage motorists to plan ahead, before setting out, by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
