A85 Between Crieff and Comrie | Carriageway Improvements
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential improvements on the A85 between Crieff and Comrie from Sunday 21 September.
Works will take place between the hours of 7pm and 6am and are expected to be completed by the morning of Saturday 4 October.
To protect the workforce, there will be a reduced speed limit along with the temporary traffic lights on approach to the site and traffic will be guided safely through the works, at 10mph, by a convoy vehicle.
Traffic management measures will be removed outwith working hours, however, speed restrictions will remain in place during the day as traffic will be running on a temporary surface with no road markings.
Access through the works sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These works will fix existing defects in the road surface at this section of the A85, improving driving conditions for road users.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly and with safety as our top priority. We extend our gratitude to the local community and road users for their patience.
“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
