A835 Mulbie- Easter Kinkell | Surfacing Improvements
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surfacing improvements on the A835 between Mulbie and Easter Kinkell, with works set to get underway from Wednesday 23 April.
The £750,000 investment by Transport Scotland will see a 1,690m stretch of carriageway resurfaced and ensure that the A835 continues to operate safely for years to come.
The project is scheduled to take place between the hours of 7pm and 6am each day from Wednesday 23 April until the morning of Wednesday 14 May. No works will be carried out on Sunday 4 or Monday 5 May.
To protect roadworkers and motorists, a lane closure with convoy will be in place each night. The A835 will be open outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, with a speed restriction of 30mph in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This surfacing project on the A835 will fix defects and greatly improve the surface for road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works quickly and safely, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works. We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
