A83 Near Kennacraig Ferry Terminal Junction | Carriageway Improvements
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will undertake essential carriageway improvements on the A83 near Kennacraig Ferry Terminal Junction.
The protect the workforce and road users, the A83 will be closed between 7pm and 5am each night from the evening of Sunday 21 September until the morning of Monday 29 September. Hourly amnesties will be in place to allow road users to pass through the site safely every hour on the hour during the closure. There will be no road closure on Friday or Saturday nights.
Amnesty periods will be arranged to accommodate ferry users arriving at Kennacraig throughout the evenings.
Outwith working hours, the road will be full reopened each morning at 5am to keep disruption to a minimum, however a speed restriction of 30mph will be in place as traffic will be running over a temporary road surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
