A82 Glencoe Village to Ballachulish | Resurfacing Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out overnight resurfacing works on the A82 between Glencoe Village and Ballachulish, from Wednesday 25 February.
Set to improve road safety and surface conditions for road users, the works will take place between 19:00 and 06:00 each night and will be completed by the morning of Friday 20 March. No work will be undertaken on Friday and Saturday nights.
To protect the workforce and road users, a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system, operated using temporary traffic lights, will be in place overnight for the duration of the works.
Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours, however, a 30mph speed restriction will remain in place during the day as traffic will be running on a temporary surface
Works will pause at 06:00 on Friday 6 March and will resume at 19:00 on Sunday 15 March, with speed restrictions remaining in place during this time.
Access for emergency services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This resurfacing on the A82 will address existing defects in the road surface and renew road markings, significantly improving the quality and safety of the A82 for road users.
“Our teams will carry out these works overnight to minimise disruption, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community for their patience while the works are completed.”
