A77 Maybole Road | Resurfacing Work

11th of May 2025, 8:00pm to 18th of May 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A77 at Ayr, between Maybole Road and Bankfield Roundabout from Sunday 11th May until Saturday 17th May 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. Traffic management will be removed by 6am on Sunday 18th May.

This work will require overnight road closures and traffic will be diverted as follows:

  • Northbound traffic will leave the A77 at Maybole Road and turn right onto Belmont Road, taking the second exit at the roundabout on to Hillfoot Road and right onto the A70 Holmston Road to re-join the A77 at Holmston Roundabout.
  • Southbound traffic will leave the A77 at Bankfield Roundabout, taking the first exit onto the A713 then turning right onto the B742 and following to Dalrymple to turn right onto the B7034 Garden Street and continuing west to re-join the A77.
  • Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
