A77 Girvan | Resurfacing
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A77 in Girvan, between Dalrymple Street and Glendoune Street, from Monday 19th May until Friday 30th May 2025. This work will involve a full closure of the A77 in this location from 6am on Monday 19th May until 8pm on Friday 23rd May and from 6am on Monday 26th May until 8pm on Friday 30th May 2025.
Signed diversions will be in operation whilst this work is taking place as follows:
Northbound A77 traffic will take the second exit at Shallochpark Roundabout onto Coalpots Road, following through Houdston and turning left onto the B734 to re-join the A77 at Bridgemill Roundabout.
Southbound traffic will take the route in reverse.
Local traffic will be diverted via Henrietta Street during the closure
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
