A76 between New Cumnock and Kirkconnel | Essential Culvert Upgrades

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential culvert upgrades on the A76 between New Cumnock and Kirkconnel from Monday 15th September until Sunday 6th October 2025 between the hours of 6am and 6pm Monday to Saturday.  No work will take place on Sundays.  

This work will require 24-hour single lane closures under traffic lights until this work is complete. 

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
 
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
 
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
