A75 Stranraer | Resurfacing

A75 Stranraer
15th of September 2025, 8:00pm to 19th of September 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A75 at London Road in Stranraer, from Monday 15th September until Thursday 18th September 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.

This work will require overnight road closures in this location, as well as a closure of the A75 junction with Commerce Road.

Westbound A75 traffic will be directed to exit the A75 at the A751 and turn left on to the A77 and head south into Stranraer via Cairnryan Road and Stair Drive.

Eastbound traffic will take the above route in reverse. This route will add an additional 4 minutes to journey times.

Traffic wishing to use the Commerce Road junction will follow the above diversion to Stair Drive and continue to Station Street, Edinburgh Road, Dalrymple Street and Stoneykirk Road to Commerce Road. This journey will take an additional 10 minutes.

Traffic management will be removed by 6am on Thursday 18th September.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
