Works Postponed Due To Storm Bram
Due to the severe weather conditions brought by Storm Bram, including prolonged heavy rainfall and high winds, the following works being undertaken by BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will not go ahead tonight, Tuesday 9 December.
A828 Benderloch resurfacing and lining – Temporary traffic lights remain on location due to quarry breakdown
A83 North of Cairndow (Glaschoine House) resurfacing
A84 Cambusbeg resurfacing – Works have been rescheduled to start in February 2026
A85 tree felling between Maryburgh and Contin (Brahan) - Temporary traffic lights will remain in place
A9 Cromarty Bridge – 30mph speed restriction signs for works will remain in place
A9 North of Evanton Junction resurfacing
Works will resume on Wednesday 10 December if weather and road conditions allow.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “Storm Bram, including high winds, and heavy rain makes it unsafe to undertake these works tonight.
“Meanwhile our teams are busy dealing with disruption that Storm Bram is causing across the North West including removing fallen trees, alleviating flooding or clearing debris.
