Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking essential bridge expansion joint replacements on the A898 northbound to the A82 westbound slip-road, north of Erskine Bridge, from 8pm on Friday 8th March until 6am on Monday 11th March 2024. This maintenance has been rescheduled from its previous postponement in December 2023 due to adverse weather conditions.

This scheme will benefit around 46,000 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the structure and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.

The work will be carried out under a full weekend closure of the slip-road at this location with a signed diversion route in operation.

Traffic travelling on the A898 northbound (including HGVs) will take the A898 slip-road to the A82 eastbound, continue along the A82 eastbound to Kilbowie Roundabout and take the 5th exit to return along the A82 westbound.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
