Radio 2 In The Park | City Park Stirling
BBC Radio 2 in the Park 2026 takes place at City Park in Stirling from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September. Acts include Chaka Khan, The Script, Deacon Blue and Simple Minds.
Gates open at 4pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday and Sunday. The events will end at approximately 10.30pm on the Friday and 9.15pm on Saturday and Sunday.
With thousands of visitors heading to Stirling for the festival, roads, public transport and parking in the area will be busier than usual. Some road restrictions and closures will also be in place in the vicinity of Stirling City Park to ensure the event takes place safely.
So please plan ahead before you travel. Check travel information before you set off, allow extra time for your journey and consider using the various public transport options.
By Car
If you are going to the event:
• Bookable parking is available in dedicated locations. This is limited and must be booked in advance.
• The full list of council car parks in Stirling can be found here.
• If you are travelling from Glasgow or Edinburgh, please exit at Junction 9 on the M9/M80 (Bannockburn Interchange/Pirnhall Roundabout) and then follow the signs for Stirling.
• If you are travelling south on the A9, please exit at Junction 11 on the M9 (Keir Roundabout). Take the exit for Bridge of Allan and then follow the signs for Stirling.
• Only exit at Junction 10 (Craigforth Roundabout) of the M9, if you are using the drop-off/pick-up point at Castleview Park and Ride.
If you are not going to the event and heading to Stirling:
• Please avoid Junction 10 of the M9 and use alternative routes into Stirling, following any signed diversions.
• Please avoid the area around Stirling City Park as this is expected to be extremely busy, with road closures and restrictions also in place.

By Bus
A shuttle bus service will run to Stirling from multiple locations on all three days. Book your seat via the official shuttle bus website.

By Train
Stirling train station is within walking distance (around 1 mile) of the event at Stirling City Park. ScotRail has laid on extra carriages to help people travel to and from the festival.
Customers travelling between Edinburgh and Stirling should be aware that planned engineering works will impact journeys on Saturday 12 September and Sunday 13 September.
There are no direct trains between Edinburgh and Stirling on these days, and customers should travel via Croy or Glasgow Queen Street, changing trains to complete their journey to or from Edinburgh/Stirling.
Queuing systems may be in place at key stations before and after the event to ensure customers can board trains safely.

Cycling
If you're planning to cycle to the festival there is free secure bike parking onsite.
An event map showing the bike parking location will be shared with all ticketholders ahead of the event and will also be available via the event app.
