OVERNIGHT RESURFACING WORKS | A96/A90
Amey is undertaking resurfacing works on the A96 Newton of Petty, west of Inverness Airport, from Sunday 17th August to Tuesday 26th August.
Work will take place each night from 7.30pm to 6.30am, with no overnight works on Friday 22nd August and Saturday 23rd August.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures.
For diversions westbound traffic will take the A939 at Nairn, and turn right onto the B9101 before continuing on the B9090 to Clephanton and turning left onto the B9091 then continuing on B9006 at Croy. At Westhill traffic will turn right onto Tower Road then left onto Barn Church Road to rejoin the A96 at Smithton Roundabout.
Eastbound traffic will follow the above route in reverse. This will add an additional 4 mins journey time.
Traffic for Inverness Airport from Inverness can take the A96 eastbound and gain access via the B9039. Traffic from Nairn can gain access from Airport Roundabout.
