Rescheduled Scheme Dates
Issued: 14 September 2023

Please be aware that the dates for this scheme have been rescheduled and work will now take place between Tuesday 19th September and Thursday 5th October.

The A96 carriageway at Inverurie is set to benefit from a £580,000 scheme that will deliver improvements to the road surface.

Amey is undertaking resurfacing to a 2100 metre length of the A96 carriageway travelling past Inverurie from Sunday 17th September to Saturday 30th September.

Work will take place overnight from Blackhall Roundabout in Inverurie heading north towards Brandsbutt Junction.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out using a night time convoy between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night.

The resurfacing, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will benefit nearly 10,000 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
