Overnight closure of the A725 southbound carriageway at Raith Underpass

Road users are advised that the A725 southbound carriageway at Raith underpass between the off slip road for Raith roundabout and the on slip road from Raith roundabout, will be closed overnight on Thursday 21 September 2023, from 8pm to 6am.
Access to both the M74 at Junction 5 Raith and Strathclyde Country Park will be maintained during this overnight road closure.
A signed diversion route will be in place during the closure via the A725 southbound off slip road for Raith roundabout, take 3rd exit on Raith roundabout to return to the A725 southbound for East Kilbride.
Road users are encouraged to plan ahead and check Traffic Scotland prior to travelling at these times to check their route.
These essential carriageway resurfacing and maintenance works will be carried out by Scottish Roads Partnership on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of this route. The works have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland and Police Scotland.
Please note, all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
