M90 Northbound to the North of Glenfarg | Overnight Resurfacing
Amey is undertaking overnight resurfacing work on the M90 northbound to the north of Glenfarg in Perth and Kinross from Tuesday 24th March to Saturday 28th March.
The essential maintenance, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will resurface approximately 665 metres of the M90 northbound carriageway.
Work will take place between 193 metres north of the Paris overbridge to 51 metres south of the B996 bridge.
These works are being carried out in conjunction with the ongoing drainage improvements on the M90 at Balmanno Hill in order to minimise long term disruption to the travelling public.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the resurfacing work will take place under overnight road closures of the M90 northbound between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night.
The following diversion will be in place during the overnight closures.
M90 northbound traffic can leave the M90 at Junction 8 and follow the A91 to Gateside. At Gateside they can then turn left and then turning left at Gateside onto the A912 and follow the route to Bridge of Earn where they can rejoin the M90 northbound at Junction 9.
The diversion route will add up to seven minutes additional journey time.
The resurfacing will benefit more than 15,400 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
