M90 Northbound Approach To Kinross | Overnight Retexturing Works
Amey is undertaking overnight retexturing work on the M90 northbound approach to Kinross between Monday 19th October and Saturday 24th October.
The work, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will restore the surface texture and improve skid resistance, benefitting more than 15,500 motorists who use this route each day.
Work will be undertaken on approximately 1,390 metres of the M90 northbound carriageway, ending at the entry to the Junction 6 northbound off-slip at Kinross.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures each night between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
The following diversion route will be in place during the overnight road closures.
M90 northbound traffic can exit at Junction 5 for Crook of Devon/Glenrothes. Turning right onto the B9097 towards Kinross/Scotlandwell/Glenrothes traffic can turn left at the next junction onto the B996 towards Kinross.
They can then follow the route to its junction with Station Road, where they can turn left and follow the route to rejoin the M90 at the junction 6 northbound on slip.
The diversion route will require six minutes additional journey time.
All work is scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Saturday 24th October.
Please note that all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.
