M90 North of Glenfarg under contraflow | Surfacing Improvements
Amey is undertaking surfacing improvements on the M90 southbound to the north of Glenfarg in Perth and Kinross from Friday 17th April to Friday 1st May.
The work, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver two essential maintenance schemes at Balmanno and Fildie which will resurface a combined 2,800 metres of the M90 southbound carriageway.
The two schemes are being carried out together to minimise overall disruption to the travelling public.
Work will initially be undertaken on 1,300 metres of the M90 southbound carriageway between 137 metres south of Balmanno East overbridge and 456 metres south of Wicks of Baiglie overbridge.
Work will then also start to resurface a further 1,500 metres of the M90 southbound carriageway from 1,184 metres south of Wicks of Baiglie overbridge to 48 metres north of Glenhead Bridge.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will take place under a contraflow system between 6.30am on Friday 17th April and 6.30am on Friday 1st May.
Traffic management required to set up and stand down the contraflow will utilise lane two restrictions already in place on the M90 for ongoing drainage improvements work.
The contraflow is due to be removed by 6.30am on Friday 1st May.
Please be aware that there may be delays of up to seven minutes northbound and 12 minutes southbound when the contraflow is in place.
All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
