M90 Between Dron and Bridge Of Earn | Road Safety Improvements
Amey is undertaking road safety improvements on approximately 2.5km of the M90 between the Dron bend and Bridge of Earn from Tuesday 23rd September to Tuesday 16th December.
Work will take place from the second footbridge north of the Dron bend to the M90 Junction 9 overbridge at Bridge of Earn.
The £1 million project, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will see improvements made to the vehicle barrier restraint systems, improving overall safety for over 21,300 daily road users.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under lane 2 restrictions and full overnight road closures between Junctions 8 and 9.
Temporary 50mph speed limits will be in place during lane closures and at all times when temporary vehicle barrier restraint systems are installed.
Please note this work is due to begin following the completion of the refurbishment of Glenhead Bridge on the M90 near Glenfarg in Perth and Kinross, which is currently ongoing.
