M90 Between Bridge Of Earn And Craigend Interchange | Overnight Roadworks

Bridge Of Earn/Craigend Interchange

Amey is advising motorists of four nights of essential overnight road closures on the M90 between Bridge of Earn and Craigend Interchange from Tuesday 30th June.

The closures are required to allow detailed carriageway investigations to be carried out that will help support future road maintenance planning. These investigations are a vital part of ensuring the long-term safety and resilience of the M90 corridor.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow signed diversion routes and allow extra time for their journeys during these overnight closures.

The overnight road closures will be in place between Bridge of Earn and Craigend Interchange, from 7.30pm to 6am each night, as follows:

Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July: M90 northbound from Junction 9 Bridge of Earn to Junction 10 Craigend.

Thursday 2nd July and Friday 3rd July: M90 southbound between Junction 11 Barnhill Interchange and Junction 9 Bridge of Earn.

The following diversion routes will be in place during the overnight closures.

Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July: M90 northbound

M90 northbound traffic for Perth, Glasgow and Inverness.
Traffic can exit the M90 at Junction 9 (Bridge of Earn) and turn left onto the A912. They can then follow this route to its junction with Marshall Place in Perth, turning left into Marshall Place and, at its junction with King Street, turn left into County Place and follow this route onto York Place and the A93 Glasgow Road to reach Broxden Roundabout and access the A9 northbound or westbound.

M90 northbound traffic for Dundee and Aberdeen.
Traffic can exit the M90 at Junction 9 (Bridge of Earn) and turn left onto A912. They can then follow A912 Edinburgh Road  on this route to its junction with Marshall Place in Perth, turning left into Marshall Place/King James Place and then turn right at King Street junction. Traffic can then continue on King Street. Traffic will continue to South Street Junction, and take right into South Street and over Queens Bridge before turning right onto the A85 Dundee Road to Barnhill Interchange where they can access the M90 northbound.

The M90 Junction 9 on slip at Bridge of Earn to the M90 northbound will also be closed. Traffic should follow the above diversions.
 

Thursday 2nd July: M90 southbound

M90 southbound traffic from Barnhill Interchange to Perth/Inverness/Glasgow.
Traffic can exit the A90 at Junction 11 (Barnhill Interchange) and continue onto A85 Dundee Road to turn left onto Queens Bridge. They can then turn left onto Tay Street before turning right into Canal Street to its junction with King Street, turning left onto County Place where they can follow this route onto York Place and the A93 Glasgow Road to reach Broxden Roundabout and access the A9 northbound or westbound.

Friday 3rd July: M90 southbound

A90/M90 southbound traffic from A90 Barnhill Interchange to M90 southbound.
Traffic can exit the A90 at Junction 11 (Barnhill Interchange) and continue onto the A85 Dundee Road to turn left onto Queens Bridge. They can then turn left onto Tay Street before turning right into Canal Street to its junction with Scott Street. Traffic can then turn right into Victoria Street onto its junction with King Street, before turning left onto King Street to its junction with King James Place/Marshall Place. Traffic can then turn left and continue to Edinburgh Road junction, turning right into A912 Edinburgh Road. They can then leave Perth and travel to Bridge of Earn to access the M90 at Junction 9 (Bridge of Earn).

A90/M90 southbound traffic from Barnhill Interchange to Perth/Inverness/Glasgow.
Traffic can exit the A90 at Junction 11 (Barnhill Interchange) and continue onto the A85 Dundee Road to turn left onto Queens Bridge. They can then turn left onto Tay Street before turning right into Canal Street/Charterhouse Lane to its junction with King Street, turning left onto County Place where they can follow this route onto York Place and the A93 Glasgow Road to reach Broxden Roundabout and access the A9 northbound or westbound.

M90 southbound traffic from Broxden to M90 southbound (northbound slip to Dundee will remain open).
Traffic will continue on M90 NB and exit at A90 at Junction 11 (Barnhill Interchange) and continue onto the A85 Dundee Road to turn left onto Queens Bridge. They can then turn left onto Tay Street before turning right into Canal Street to its junction with Scott Street. Traffic can then turn right into Victoria Street onto its junction with King Street, before turning left onto King Street to its junction with King James Place/Marshall Place turning left onto King James Place/Marshall Place. Traffic will continue on Marshall Place until Edinburgh Road junction, turning right into A912 Edinburgh Road. They can then leave Perth and travel to Bridge of Earn to access the M90 at Junction 9 (Bridge of Earn).
