M9 South Of Keir Roundabout | Landscaping Works
Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland is set to carry out landscaping works on the M9 southbound, south of Keir Roundabout.
To allow these works to be carried out safely, the southbound carriageway of the M9 will be closed at Junction 11, Keir Roundabout, from 19:30 until 06:00 each night from Monday 8 to Friday 12 December.
During these closures, a signed diversion route will be in place from Keir Roundabout via the A9 through Bridge of Allan, continuing across Airthrey Roundabout and Causewayhead Roundabout to join the A91 southbound at Manor Powis Roundabout and follow it to Bannockburn Interchange, where the M9 can be rejoined via the first exit. This diversion will add approximately 13 minutes and 1.5 miles onto journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “It’s essential for the safety of road users and the workforce that we close the carriageway while these landscaping works take place.
“We’ve scheduled the works to take place at night to minimise the impact, however if you do need to use this route, our advice is to plan ahead and allow some extra time for the diversion.
“We thank motorists in advance for their patience.”
All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
