M9 Northbound to the M876 Eastbound | Resurfacing the Slip Road
The slip road from the M9 northbound onto the M876 eastbound at M9 Junction 7, Kinnaird House, will be closed for resurfacing on four nights from Monday 27 July to Thursday 30 July between 19:30 and 06:00 each night.
Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will carry out the works, renewing 900 metres of road surface to create smoother and safer journeys for motorists.
A signed diversion route will be in place, directing traffic to continue on the M9 northbound to turn at Junction 9 and return southbound to exit via the Junction 7 southbound off-slip. This diversion will add approximately 11 minutes and 11.8 miles to affected journeys.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South-East Network Manager, said: "It is essential for safety that we close this slip road while resurfacing take place.
“We’ve scheduled the works at night to minimise disruption, however we appreciate that this will cause delays for some people and thank the public in advance for their patience and understanding."
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
