M9 Junctions 4 | Drainage Improvements
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out overnight drainage improvement works on the M9 at Junction 4, Lathallan Interchange.
Due to the nature of the works, the M9 on-slips will be closed at Junction 4 in both directions each night between 7.30pm and 6am.
- The eastbound on-slip will be closed from the evening of Monday 22 June until the morning of Wednesday 1 July. A signed diversion will direct traffic to join the M9 westbound at Junction 4, exit at Junction 5, proceed around the roundabout, and rejoin the M9 eastbound.
- The westbound on-slip will be closed from the evening of Wednesday 1 July to the morning of Saturday 11 July. A signed diversion will direct traffic to join the M9 eastbound at Junction 4, exit at Junction 2, pass under the bridge, and rejoin the M9 westbound.
Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to inform them of the traffic management arrangements and minimise any inconvenience.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These drainage improvements on the M9 at Junction 4, Lathallan Interchange, will repair and upgrade defective motorway drainage assets.
“It is essential for safety that we close the carriageway slip roads during these works. We’ve scheduled them to be carried out during overnight hours to minimise any disruption.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”
