M9 Junction 5 Northbound On Slip | Investigation Works
BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, is to carry out investigation works on the slip road onto the northbound M9 at Junction 5, south of Grangemouth.
The works will be carried out on the night of Friday 7 August between 19:30 and 06:00.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and road users, it will be necessary to close the slip road during these works.
A signed diversion route will be in place from Cadgers Brae Roundabout via the M9 southbound to turn at Junction 4 and return northbound on the M9. This diversion will add approximately 3.4 miles and 4 minutes to journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times, and all traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These investigation works are necessary to help us plan future resurfacing of the slip road.
“It’s essential that we close the slip road while work takes place, however we’ll do this at night to minimise the impact.”
All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
