M9 Junction 5 | Bridge Works

The exits from Cadgers Brae Roundabout to the M9 Junction 5 westbound on-slip and the A905 will be closed from 20:00 until 06:00 on the night of Wednesday 6 November.
This is to allow Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland to carry out routine inspection works on a bridge carrying the M9 over the roundabout.
During the closures, a signed diversion will be in place directing traffic to take the A9 exit from Cadgers Brae Roundabout, follow the A9 westwards and then turn right onto the A904 towards Earl’s Gate Roundabout, from where they can join the M9 westbound or take the A905 eastbound. This will add approximately 1 mile and 4 minutes to affected journeys.
David Bishop, BEAR Scotland’s South East Unit Bridges Manager, said: “It is essential that these exits from Cadgers Brae Roundabout are closed for the safety of road users and the workforce while these routine inspection works are undertaken.
“We’ve programmed these works to take place overnight to minimise disruption and thank motorists in advance for their patience and understanding.”
Consultation has been carried out with relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans in advance.
