BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out drainage improvements on the M876 near Larbert through a series of slip-road and lane closures. Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s Southeast Network Manager, said: “ Works on the M876 are necessary to conduct planned improvements to the carriageway drainage system. We’ve taken the opportunity to time ground investigation works in the same area at the same time to assess the condition of the carriageway for future resurfacing works. Combining these two sets of works reduces the impact to the travelling public.

“It is essential for the safety of road workers and motorists that we implement lane, slip road and carriageway closures during these works; however, we’ve scheduled these overnights to minimise any disruption.

“We thank motorists in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”
