M80 Near Denny | Barrier Repairs

Denny
22nd of March 2026, 10:00pm to 29th of March 2026, 6:00am

Overnight works to repair the central reserve barrier on the M80 near Denny are set to take place on the nights of 22 to 29 March.

Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will carry out the project between 22:00 and 06:00 each night.

On the nights of 22 to 29 March, single lane closures will be in place on the motorway.

Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

David Bishop, BEAR Scotland’s South East Bridges Manager, said: “These works on the M80 at Denny will address and repair defects in the central reserve safety barrier, creating safer journeys for motorists.

“It is essential for safety that we close the carriageway during the works, however we’ll do this overnight to minimise any disruption.

“We thank road users in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”

All work are weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
