M80 Junction 2 | Investigation Works

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential coring investigations on the southbound M80 off-slip at Junction 2 from 8pm on Wednesday 19th November until 6am on Thursday 20th November 2025.

This work will require an overnight closure of the southbound off-slip at Junction 2 and traffic will be directed to continue on the southbound M80 to exit at Junction 1 and follow the M8 eastbound Junction 13 on-slip, the Junction 12 off-slip, A80, Royston Road and the B765, where this diversion will end.

M80 Junction 2 Investigation Works

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the slip roads in this location.
