M80 and M73 | Overnight carriageway repair works
A 19-night programme of resurfacing works is set to get underway on the M80 and M73 motorways.
A series of overnight carriageway closures is planned at various locations on the M80, between Junctions 3 and 7, and on the M73, between the M80 diverge and Junction 3.
To keep roadworkers and road users safe, sections of the road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am, with signed diversions in place. There will be no traffic restrictions outwith these times.
Provisional dates for these closures are listed in the table below. Dates are subject to change in the event of adverse weather or operational requirements:

Commenting on the works, Carnie Morrison, Highway Management (Scotland) Limited General Manager, said: “This essential programme of carriageway repairs will help ensure the M80 and M73 motorways are kept in a safe condition for road users.
“The works are being carried out overnight when traffic flows are reduced, to minimise delays to motorists as much as possible.
“Traffic management is required to ensure that workers and road users are kept safe, however our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible.
“We encourage all motorists to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date journey information.”
