From Monday 1st December until Thursday 4th December, this work will require overnight lane closures on the Westbound M8 between Junctions 27 and 28 as well as overnight closures of the Junction 27 on slip. Traffic will be diverted via Renfrew Road, A726 Niddry Street, St James Street, Greenock Road, the A726 and St James’ Interchange.
From Wednesday 3rd December until Saturday 6th December, this work will require overnight lane closures on the Eastbound M8 between Junctions 28 and 27 as well as overnight closures of the on slips from Glasgow Airport and the A737.
Traffic wishing to use the Airport on slip will be diverted via the westbound Junction 28 on slip, exit at Junction 29 (St James’ Interchange) and turn at the roundabout to join the M8 eastbound at Junction 29.
A737 traffic will be directed to exit at St James Interchange and follow the above diversion.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
