M8 on-slip at Junction 28A - A737 | Emergency Works

St James’ Viaduct

Please be advised that an urgent lane closure on the eastbound M8 on-slip at Junction 28A- A737 link (St James’ Viaduct) is required from Thursday 9th April 2026 for a period of two weeks. 

Traffic delays of 15 minutes are expected at peak AM and PM times. 

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are currently arranging for the manufacture and installation of temporary works to begin bridge expansion joint repairs, which will allow for the removal of the lane closure.
