M8 Kingston Bridge | Essential Drainage Surveys

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential drainage surveys below the M8 Kingston Bridge Complex from Sunday 13th September until mid-November between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. During this time a weekly press release will be issued to update on the following weeks closures.

Next week’s work will require overnight closures as outlined below.

Total Closure of Carnoustie St between Paisley Rd and Dalintober St- overnight between Sunday 13th September – Thursday 17th September: Traffic will be diverted via Dalintober Street, Carnoustie Street, Scotland Street, Seaward Street and Paisley Road West.

Total Closure of M8 Jct 19 Stobcross On Slip - overnight between Sunday 13th September – Thursday 17th September: Traffic will be diverted via A814 Argyle St Eastbound, Dougals St, Waterloo St and M8 Jct 19 Waterloo St on Slip. 

Lane Closure of Clydeside Expressway at Stobcross On Ramp - Sunday 13th September – Thursday 17th September: No diversion required. 

Lane Closure of A804 North St between Broomielaw and Argyle St- Sunday 13th September – Thursday 17th September: No diversion required. 

Lane Closure of A804 Newton St between Argyle St and Broomielaw - Sunday 13th September – Thursday 17th September: No diversion required. 

This is the first phase of surveys in this location. Depending on findings from this phase revisits may be required. These will be added to the end of the current programme and details will be made available in due course. 

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structure’s drainage network.
