M8 Kingston Bridge Complex | Essential Surveys

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential surveys on the M8 Kingston Bridge Complex from Monday 5th October until mid-November. Week 2 of this work is detailed below, and details of subsequent weeks will be made available in due course.
 

Week 2: Monday 12th October – Thursday 15th October 2026:
Monday 12th October, 8pm-6am : Closure of Dalintober Street, including southbound M74 Junction 1 eastbound, from Wallace St to Carnoustie St.
 

Traffic will be diverted via Wallace St - Carnoustie St - A8 Kingston St - Tradeston St - Cook St - West St -Scotland St - M8 Jct 21 WB on slip - M8 Jct 23 WB off slip - M8 Jct 23 EB on slip - diversion end
 

Tuesday 13th October – Thursday 15th October, 8pm-6am each night: Closure of Carnoustie Street between M8 Junction 21 westbound on slip to Paisley Road West.
Traffic will be diverted via Carnoustie Street - Scotland Street - West Street and Morrison Street.
 

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
 

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
 

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by informing future improvement works in this location.
