Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is continuing essential drainage surveys below the M8 Kingston Bridge Complex from Sunday 11th October until mid-November between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. During this time a weekly press release will be issued to update on the following weeks closures.

Next week’s work will require overnight closures as outlined below.

Total Closure of A804 Newton Street from Argyle St to the Broomielaw - overnight between Sunday 11th October – Thursday 15th October: Traffic from A804 Newton St and the Clydeside Expressway will be diverted along Argyle St Eastbound, James Watt St, Broomielaw. Traffic from Argyle St Westbound will be diverted along the Clydeside Expressway, Finnieston St, Lancefield Quay, Anderston Quay, Broomielaw.

This is the first phase of surveys in this location. Depending on findings from this phase revisits may be required. These will be added to the end of the current programme and details will be made available in due course.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structure’s drainage network.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
