20th of September 2026, 8:00pm to 25th of September 2026, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential carriageway investigations on the M8 Junction 25A westbound off slip from Sunday 20th September until Friday 25th September 2026. This work will take place overnight only between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.

During the works there will be full overnight closures of the M8 Junction 25A westbound off slip and the M8 J25 westbound on slip.

The traffic intending to use the M8 Junction 25A westbound off slip will be directed to remain on the M8 westbound and exit at the Junction 26 westbound off slip to follow Hillington Interchange, the A736 Hillington Road and King’s Inch Road.

Traffic intending to use the M8 J25 westbound on slip will be diverted via Fifty Pitches Road, A8 Shieldhall Road, A8 Renfrew Road, and the A736 Hillington Road to Hillington Interchange, where access to the M8 westbound will be available via the Junction 26 on slip.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by informing future road safety improvement schemes in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
