M8 at Junction 15 (Townhead) | Essential Masonry Repairs
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential masonry repairs on the M8 at Junction 15 (Townhead) from Monday 10th November until Saturday 29th November between the hours of 10pm and 6am each night.
This work will require lane closures and overnight closures as follows:
Monday 10th November – Thursday 13th November: Closure of the M8 eastbound Junction 15 on-slip (Castle Street). Traffic will be diverted via Castle Street and Glebe Street.
Thursday 13th November – Friday 21st November: Closure of the M8 westbound Junction 15 on-slip from the A803. Traffic will be diverted via Royston Road, Blochairn Road and Viewpark Avenue to join the M8 westbound at Junction 14. Additionally a closure of the M8 westbound Junction 15 off-slip (Glebe Street) will be in operation. Traffic will be diverted via Castle Street.
Thursday 20th November – Saturday 29th November: A single lane closure on the M8 eastbound at Junction 15 will be in operation.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structures in this location.
